Yesterday I attended another screenworks conference, this time hosted at the TAFE, Kingscliff campus. Christy Dena gave a great presentation on creating quality media for cross media platforms.
Well, it looks like we left mexico at a good time and it's hard to imagine what it would have been like if we were there now. Hopefully we didn't bring the swine flu back to Australia...
After the massive amount of positive responses I received towards my artwork posted on Deviant Art, I decided to create a page in my own site, as a gallery devoted my most recent digital artwork. You can check it out here: My Artwork Gallery
I have just launched a profile on http://www.deviantart.com - a popular artist networking site. You can reach my page directly at: henryegloff.deviantart.com, and my gallery at: henryegloff.deviantart.com/gallery. Unfortunately you will need to create a user ID account to see all of my work as most it here has been censored. So far, in only a few hours I have been amazed at the amount of positive responses I am getting to my work from other artists out there. You can also check out a gallery of my favorite art (by the other artists) at henryegloff.deviantart.com/favourites
On Friday I attended the Screenworks conference, a follow on from the recent 'incubator' event. I thought both speakers, Kerry Sunderland from Evolve Media and Yari McGaulay from Evolved Websites did a great job discussing some of the latest online networking tools, trends, and processes. In particular they discussed the use of social networking sites, rss feeds, blogging and Twitter.. I will post more blogs shortly discussing these things in more detail.
So my website seems to be in a bit of a state of constant never-ending upheaval. I'm hoping I will find the time to write regular updates to this blog page, including new and exciting blog entries about all sorts of things. I'm looking to write blogs about any latest design trends and resources that are currently capturing my attention, philosophical ideas, latest news and events, and the latest projects I am working on. I also want to write blogs about certain design tools, particularly content management systems such as Silverstripe (which this site is built with), and any new and amazing tips and tricks that I happen to come across. And of course you will be able to post comments to this page, so please let me know what you think...
